Eggborough Power Station – DSM Demolition Ltd
PPS Metal Recycling (PPS) were appointed by DSM Demolition Ltd (DSM) as a sub‐contractor for associated works at their site of Eggborough Power Station. PPS undertook the following works:- Dismantle and Processing of Large and Small Transformers.
- Clearance of re‐usable pipe work
- Internal Strip‐out of stores
- Dismantle and lifting operations for the Alternator within the Turbine Hall.
- Dismantle and lifting operations for the Pump House including the removal of overhead gantry crane
- Purchasing of ferrous and non‐ferrous metals. /li>
- Project Duration: August 2019 – February 2022 (Phased Works)
- Contract Value: Between £2.5m ‐ £3.0m
Key Site Constraints and Challenges:
- Working in co‐ordination with ongoing site works.
- Residual COSHH present within units.
- Fire Risk and Hot Work Operations.
- Working at Height
- Heavy Industrial Dismantle
- Lifting Operations
- Heavy Haulage

High Standard Firm
